Wacky Races!

Matt and I went karting with Sumit and a bunch of others at the weekend. Had a great time and somehow I managed to steal second place behind the karting champ and organiser.

Only got a couple of photos to share I’m afraid:

And managed to find someone else’s video of the track if you’re interested:

Matt Does IT Again – Mobile Digg Released by B1TE

Digg Java Mobile Screen Shot Matt’s released yet another cracking application for your mobile… It allows you to browse and interact with the very popular digg.com. Its really easy to install and use. For more info, head over to his B1TE site.

Here’s his blurb:
Diggers now have no excuse to neglect their Digging duties on the popular news site. B1TE Entertainment has launched a free Java mobile application that lets users browse and interact with Digg on their phones. The application, called Digg Java Mobile, gives quick access to popular and upcoming stories.

PS: If you do use Digg yourselves (or even if you don’t), please go to see the posting about the application here at Digg.com and then press the “Digg” link, the more people who click the link, the more publicity Matt will get…

The Phantom Storm Troopers…

I don’t often post from work but this is too good not to share.

There seem to be a squad of storm troopers wandering around outside my office today….

Has the Empire taken over? You can see if they are still there on the web-cam.

Poor Hammond!

Hammond the hamster

Richard Hammond seems to have had a rather nasty crash while filming for Top Gear! I hope he pulls through cos he’s great on Top Gear (although he is the most mookish of the three – but that’s probably why I like him).

Top Gear is one of the best programs on telly, I hope this doesn’t change things…

Caroline’s Birthday

A few of us were out to celebrate Caroline’s birthday on Saturday, we had a great time in the Embassy bar near Angel!

This is Steve Balmer, one of the heads of Microsoft. He’s is clearly mental but don’t you wish some of the senior managers at your work were this enthusiastic? Ok, maybe not as enthusiastic!

Hello, Hello; We’re top of the league and you’re no!!!

We’re up 6 places in the last month in the FIFA rankings, now we’re up to 34th!

My photos from the trip are now up too, I didn’t take too many but hopefully I’ll get a copy of Derek’s to add to them later.

Walking on top of the World

Bush pays his respects to America

I make my feelings about George W-yah known on a fairly regular basis and it seems he can’t help sub-conscientiously sharing his opinions on America with us too.

Just as well he can’t come back this time for “four more years!”.

Highlights!

Too dead to the world to type….

Off to Lithuania

I’m off to Lithuania bright and early tomorrow morning (we have to be at the airport at 6.30am!). Going over with Derek to see bonnie Scotland play. Enthusiasm, morale and complacency are high after Saturday’s 6-nil win but considering Lithuania drew with Italy at the same time in Italy perhaps Scotland are again underdogs for this one too?

Well looking forward to it, will be there with the kilt on! Back at the weekend!

Slade’s been down to stay for the weekend, he was in London for a national baseball tournament and he’s heading back north today.

I’ll post more updates and photos when I get back!
