Honey, I’m home!

Yes, made it safe and sound back to lovely London. Had a fantastic trip but glad to come home. The flight was good and I even managed to sleep which is just as well cos we landed at half 4 this morning!!

Thought I’d post up the last of the photos, again quite dull cos there isn’t anyone in them but they show off Hong Kong by night from my hotel pool and they were taken on my last night in Hong Kong ;-(

Let hope work sends me out there again!

Photos from Hong Kong!

Sorry I’ve been a bit slack on the updates, been pretty busy at work and been burning the candle at both ends. Web access costs a fortune in my hotel so I’ve been rationing it and spending the cash on dinner and drink instead.

Here’s a couple of new galleries which should show what I’ve been up to. First a night out at the Peak (the highest point in Hong Kong), went for dinner with James (the other one) and his girlfriend Zoe followed by a few cocktails:

Then a hung over trip across to the mainland via the Star Ferry for a trip round the markets and then a posh dinner at Aqua to celebrate the other James’ birthday. Followed up with a few cocktails (no surprise)

Football Highlights

Managed to see the game, it was showing in my hotel! Also managed to find it online too… enjoy!

See it at Google Video.

Just as well it ain’t French wine in the business lounge

Wow – this really is the way to fly. A cab direct to the airport (45mins), check-in (no queue and 2 mins), security (no queue and 5 mins). That usually takes me about 3 hours when I’m traveling normally!!

Now safely camped in the business class lounge, sipping New Zealand red wine – thankfully its not French… The only had the England game on the telly down here but they flashed up the Scotland score halfway through the second half… 1-nil to Scotland!!! I have to admit I jump from my seat, pumped and fist in the air and shouted “YES, YA BEAUTYY!!!”…. then suddenly remembered where I was and tried to sneak back to my seat. Do you think anyone noticed or are the dirty looks I’m getting now just paranoia? ;-)

Scotland, 3 games played, 9 points – who would have thunk it???

If the trip carries on like this then I’m gonna have a great time!

Go East where the skies are blue?

Well looks like its official, so I guess I can share the news without putting a jinks on the trip… [touch wood!]

I’m off to Hong Kong tomorrow for 3 weeks with work! Going there to lead some user training and testing for the next release of the system I work on.

Can’t wait – its gonna be great but knackering! I’m the only one going out from my team so could end up being a lonely 3 weeks in the hotel but I’m sure to find some drinking buddies.

Anyone been before? Any top tips?
