Go East where the skies are blue?
Well looks like its official, so I guess I can share the news without putting a jinks on the trip… [touch wood!]
I’m off to Hong Kong tomorrow for 3 weeks with work! Going there to lead some user training and testing for the next release of the system I work on.
Can’t wait – its gonna be great but knackering! I’m the only one going out from my team so could end up being a lonely 3 weeks in the hotel but I’m sure to find some drinking buddies.
Anyone been before? Any top tips?

Its very humid there. Take the tram up to the top of the city, great views. Every person you pass will try to sell you something, just tell them to get lost.

Thanks Mark!
Thanks anonymous – I’ll get in lots of trouble if I even thought about it!

Lan Kwai Fong… the foreigner nightspot. Try to get some locals to take you to the decent clubs. Its a good laugh just going out yourself but you won’t find the real gems unless a local takes you.
Also – I might be able to hook you up with some locals through the work. They are a friendly bunch.
ps, Mark is right about the view – be sure to go up for dusk with a camera on a nice clear night!
