Sorry blogging has been a bit lax of late, not deliberate just didn’t think I had anything particularly interesting to say – but then do I ever?

So time for an update then? What’s been happening? Well…

Johnny and Emily got engaged! Whoopee and well done them!!!
Simon and Naomi went one better and surprised us all by getting married almost on the spot!!! Double-whoopee and well done them too!

Hmmm… what else?

  • Sian and I went to Jacqui and Dan’s engagement party in deepest darkest Essex (well somewhere out east past Chelmesford anyway).

  • Ellen and Dave came down to visit for the same few days in Jan. Ellen’s just back from a few months in Sri Lanka so was good to catch up and we went and visited cousin Ali, her husband Michael, daughter Lottie and new arrival Hannah!

  • Was off ill from work for nearly a week with tonsillitis, wasn’t nice but better now.
  • Stayed up late and watched the Superbowl, was good but think I’d rather have been at Nev’s Superbowl party and had the day off afterwards.
  • Played football for the first time in nearly 18 months, was rubbish but scored a couple of good goals.
  • Booked a holiday with Matt to Bali in April – 2 weeks in the sun, just what the doctor ordered. In fact I wish I was going now…
  • Started going down the gym again, I went the other night and ended up in the jacuzzi next to that mad artist Tracy Emin. Yes she’s the one who sold her dirty bed and a tent with the names of all her lovers inside as art…
  • Seen a few films: The Last King of Scotland (brilliant), Apocalypto (rubbish) and Blood Diamond (good).
  • Completed Gears of War.
  • Come up with a tremendous idea to easily make a fortune on BetFair but all I’ve managed to do is lose Linus £50! Oops!
  • Visited a flat that Sian’s had an offer accepted on and then went for lunch with her parents…
  • Watched Scotland lose to England in the rugby and then sulked for the rest of the evening as a result… grr…
  • Watched Scotland beat Wales in the rugby and then celebrated by going out and getting drunk!

Nikki and Sheila were down this weekend for a long weekend in London. Visited a few museums with them, even went down the slides at the Tate Modern and then a bunch of us went out on Saturday night to celebrate! Photos can be found here, great to see them (Nikki and Sheila not the photos)!
