Was messing about on the computer tonight, got bored and thought I’d see what the inter-web would have to say about me. Well stone me but if you type James Purves into Google or Google UK then you get this page!

Now I know James Purves is not a common name but for years I’ve languished in the lower pages of the results and now suddenly I’m at the top. So what does this mean? I guess people can find me easier on the web (if they remember how to spell my last name) but also I can be expecting lots of spam on my guestbook… boo!

So who else should I be searching for on the web?

Wow 11 years passes quickly…

I still remember people being called out of class-rooms at my school to be told the bad news (or the good news that their family was safe and well). All in the days before mobiles phones as well so all information came via the grapevine, hand written notes from teachers and playground gossip.

Dunblane is about 10 miles from Dollar, but lots of kids at my school were from there and some of their younger brothers and sisters went to the school where the massacre happened.
